this isn't Paula Seems recipe hers calls for more sugar, less coloring amongst other things as well the directions for putting it together r different as well. If ur gonna put someone's name on something please make sure its correct. foodnetwork.com has the correct recipe.

Let me first say I love Paula Deen and respect her. As far as the 2 statements she made I find it a little comical that person that had the issue wasn't even a person of color. Do I condone the usage of that word no I don't nor do I allow ppl to refer to me in such way when greeting me. Am I offened by what she said no. her statement wasn't calling a particular person the n word her statement was just that they should get some little (n's) dress them up in black pants white shorts black ties for the wedding. that way it will b s tru southern wedding. get ova it ppl. it was a statement there have been worst said. and to Virgo hun in response to the walmart issue there was something done about it. there was a 2 month long boycott of walmart nation wide that quietly provoked a change. Paula keep ur head up hun this to shall pass.

I love everyone I belive we are all gods people if you dont thats fine but I do its my oppinion and to me a fact n no ones going to change that no matter what they say.that being said I belive paula is gods child too. I belive her mistakes R between her and god and we should all forgive her and turn the other cheek.she said this what 25 years ago.now her dream is crushed.should that really be her punishment.what she said was wrong.but we have all said and done things we regret and I dont think any of us can cast the first stone.good looking cake by the way..and fyi she did say this 30 yrs ago after a man put a gun to her head in a robbery..I think u should remove ur head from the hole its in and look at the whole picture here.ur not.perfect so if u said something after something so traumatic happened to u should we take away everything.from u and hate u for it.they only thing u got out of what I said was the number 25..thats sad..ur deffinatly not perfect either.paula admited to saying it she also said the circumstances and said the rest of that was all rumors look it up

The recipes need to be more detailed, and cake was not moist nor did it raise......maybe I did something wrong. But I'll just use my own original recipe. Paula Dean is a great cook, but I can't see this being her recipe.

This is a recipe I use all the time and for years. Try adding green or blue food coloring instead of red for the holidays. GREAT [ok]

Good cake, but the fooD coloring makes it taste cheap. If you used a high grade Cacao you wouldn't need the food coloring
