The correct measure is 1/2 cup kosher salt per gallon water or 1/4 cup table salt per gallon. The bird must be thoroughly rinsed after brining which eliminates any salty taste.

I mixed up this recipe and i was immediately impressed with the flavor. This is good as a brine or marinade solution. A must do recipe. Git r done

4 cups of water is no where near enough water for a cup and a half of kosher salt! The turkey will come extremely salty and over power the thyme and Rosemary. It would be better if the recipe had the right amount of water to use

This is the recipe I use I added my own steps it turns out every year
