Green Bean Casserole

Never had a green bean casserole b4, but I could eat this ANY time if year. It was GREAT! Only change I made was that I used fresh green beans & lots more bacon.

My fav reciepe I thought I invented this lol. I cheat and get the pre-cooked bacon mix it all n cook. I prefer the fresh onion taste over sauteed :chef

You can also use a portion of the french fried onions instead of the saute'd onions and it tastes wonderful.. Either way this is my favorite dish at thanksgiving.. I make more and more each year and I still never have left overs B-)

It was awesome, best green bean casserole I've ever had. I added Mortons Nature Seasoning and put sliced mushrooms over the green bean mixture before the fried onions then topped the onions with a small amount of shredded chedder cheese. Better than the family recipe but don't tell anyone I said that :whistle

Nasty! It deft wasn't what I wanted, the bacon was to much and made it not pleasant, although my friend like it, she's the only one.

This tasted very good, but I added more bacon, because well it's bacon :hungry ;-)

My favorite green bean casserole. I substitute ham for bacon, lightly sprinkle the French fried onions on top and add a light sprinkle of grated sharp cheddar. Nice winter dish.

Easy and delicious. I skipped the bacon because I am vegetarian. I doubled the recipe and found it to be a little soupy so I'll probably use a little less soup next time. Also I chose to use 1 can of cream of celery and 1 can cream of mushroom. Great flavor. Will make this again!

This is my favorite recipe! It's June, and 100 degrees in Texas, and would you believe my family is asking me to this, now?? :-D

A couple things: I added diced potatoes, which was delicious; I used fresh green beans, which were a little firm--steam/cook them first; I used condensed cream soup and added water (per instruction on can). Dont add water, it came out thin. In the end, it tasted great!

I've made this before using frozen peas and can of corn for green beans (my family doesn't eat beans) and using hormel Bacon bits. Using hormel Bacon note cuts down on prep time. timeless recipe, very yummy

My friend adds cheddar cheese and chopped water chestnuts to this recipe. The water chestnuts added a great texture and the cheese was really good. This is a Thanksgiving must in our family.

bacon adds good flavor and adds a little something different to the traditional receipe, so good! My family loves it and there are no left overs,

Made this for a thanksgiving pot luck last night. I upped the servings to 50 and came home with very little left over,

we loves it. I used cream of celery and cream of mushroom. fried onion ring ,green beans and cheddar cheese. my son favorites green beans casserole. :-)

:-)First time making it. I forgot to cook the onion with the bacon so I sauteed them in bacon grease then mixed altogether n heated up in oven. Turned out really good. Thanks for putting the recipe on here.

Had this for Thanksgiving dinner and it was better than the turkey. The hit of the day! ~(o.o)~
