It can last because of the sugar and alcohol for a little more then a week I'd say at most a week and a half

Could you use rum? Gluten issue (and rum is delicious). Would be good on seafood 🤷♀️.

@pepperyhoney u can use a rum i wanted to do a spicy rum but they had none at the time but it might be good on seafood my issue is what type of seafood sunce this is a very thick sweet and sour sauce

Spiced rum would be delicious. I have used coconut rum on different recipes (including homemade vanilla extract🤤). Scallops come to mind immediately. I had this recipe from a cruise and the chef used butter, vanilla, and heavy cream (little rich) but wow! I actually had spiced rum and coconut rum on hand bc of my homemade vanilla— turned out👌. Burning off the alcohol and the sticky rum/vanilla residue blends wonderfully.

@pepperyhoney u can also do a corn and tomato salsa with rum and cream and butter for seared scallops we do that at my restaurant
