Cherry bourbon glaze

Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 5 cupsFrozen or fresh cherrys (if fresh, remove the pit,)
  2. 3 cupsbourbon
  3. 1 cupbrown sugar(get more if you want a sweeter glaze)
  4. 1/2 cupbalsamic vin or molasses (if u want a darker sauce)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    First get cherrys and add to a sauce pan on a medium heat, let sit for 10-15 mins till there soft and starting to become a jam

  2. 2

    Add sugar and mix in well, let reduce for another 10-15 and take pan off fire

  3. 3

    Add your bourbon and flambé the sauce till the fire is out(when u flambé it intensifies the bourbon flavor while removing the harsh alcohol and leaving most of the suger behind)

  4. 4

    Let sit for 10-20 mins and taste, of to your liking take off fire and blend the mixture, push through a fine strainer so u get a smooth liquid

  5. 5

    Let sit on fire on a low simmer till it becomes a glaze, regularly checking with a spoon

  6. 6

    Serve with your fav meats!!

Could you use rum? Gluten issue (and rum is delicious). Would be good on seafood 🤷‍♀️.
