v good first time. made w/ just ham and cheese for boyfriend (who hates eggs). made extra filling (ham, cheese, potatoes and green onions w/ leftover bread from bowls) and added egg to leftover filling after filling bowls (which proceeded as normal from there), and piled on top of crusts from making the hole in the top. Baked them all together and felt less bad about what bread I *did* discard. also, instead of brushing the bread w/ melted butter I put a pat of butter in the bottom because I don't want to have to wash my brushy thing every time I make these.

I don't understand how everything can be 1/2 cup. 1/2 cup bread bread bowls????? I wish people would be more specific or accurate with amounts.
