I used this recipe to test a hand-me-down bread maker that came to me without a user manual or recipe book. I'm sure it would have been a nice cake, if I had at least stirred all the ingredients together before selecting the "Cake" setting. It turns out that this particular bread maker doesn't mix the ingredients, it goes straight to baking on the "Cake" setting, so what I ended up with was a layer of melted honey butter, a layer of cooked egg clumps, and all topped by a layer of roasted flour. I will try it again, but will stir my ingredients before pressing "Start."
