Too much baking powder. It will cause the bakes to soak up the oil and the bakes will be soggy.

I've used it so many times and gotten the best results with this. To avoid it soaking up the oil make sure the oil is heated before putting the bakes in 💕 try them

And keep on a medium - high heat a too low heat can also cause it to soak up oil

I do bakes almost every week That’s how I know that’s too much baking powder.
