Ooh sounds fab. What botanicals are used to make Malawi gin?

I am not exactly sure but i’ve heard there might be coriander and citrus peels

Great flavours. So many gins in the world. I often stick with London gin but I tried a Japanese one recently, Roku. It’s flavoured with sakura leaf, tea, pepper and yuzu peel. Have you tried sloe gin? Sloes look a little like blueberries and are found growing wild here, Picked after first frost, they are steeped in alcohol.

Sloe sounds interesting but I am yet to get my hands on it. Now that you mention it, I haven’t really experimented much with gin. Now I might have to 😊

I hope I am not leading you astray 😬. I’m in Croatia at the moment and their gin/brandy is like rocket fuel! 🔥 😵‍💫

😁 Do you still live in Nairobi? Are there any local drinks there that are good? I’ve never tried any East African drinks, just Amarula from South Africa.

I am back in Malawi currently. I mostly explored the beers and ciders in Nairobi and they were fairly good
