I eyeballed the water as per gravy required, the dal also absorbs water and lauki gives out little so you have to see as per your requirement.

Hi Anjali. I have another question for you, but this time about the pressure cooker. When you say cook for 2 whistles, what does it mean? Should I release the pressure after the first whistle, and then let it build up again once more?

Cook on high flame till 2 whistles blow then turn the flame to low and cook for another 10 mins .
