I am still trying to find my way on here, I keep ending up in the 'Hardware Dept' :)) I have never used Instagram, but will check it out. I live in Thailand at the moment, but circumstances - severe financial ones' may force me to leave. I too love German food, well quite a bit of it! Mt grandmother was from Russia and I have a couple of recipes that I think she used. The same food has different names; Pirogies - Varnikes - Veranikes as an example. I will try to post some. Happy Baking, oh by the way I also have a recipe for a Jewish Bread called Challah - you may have seen the bread - it is braided.

Hey Keith, awesome - it looks like you have all kinds of recipes so I know who to ask ;) I'd love to see your grandma's recipes! I haven't had much Russian food, but what I did try tasted great! I've actually never made Challah before, but have eaten it (not sure how authentic it was, heh). I live in Japan, but right now visiting my family in Germany for a month. I heard Thailand is nice... Hopefully you don't have to leave if you don't want to!

Hi Felice - My Sister - in - Law lives in Fukuoka, would be too much of a coincidence if . . :) I want to put up a Challah recipe, but it will be difficult to explain the braiding, especially fir a 6 strand bread, 4 would be tough enough. Maybe I can find a you-tube video on that part and include the link> I will try yo dredge up some old Russian recipes one day.
