Do you put the soup in the blender or foodprocessor after the 2 hours? To make it smooth? Thanks in advance.
Oh ...one other thing. In my country there are no frozen potatoes, Can i use fresh ones? We do have frozen wedges and fries and that kind of stuff but not whole potatoes.

Actually I use a boat motor, but I liked it to have chunks of potato so I don't get it completely smooth

And yes, fresh potatoes should be fine, you just wouldn't need to cook it so long

Sure, no problem. Just use less. Dried herbs are way stronger than fresh, so I'd start with about half or less, then add more to suit your taste. Remember, you can always add more, but once it's in there, you can't take it out.

I don't see why not...just make the necessary adjustment for dry vs fresh (less dry, more fresh.)
