  4. 2/3 cupunsalted butter (about 150 grams)

  9. 1/2 cupsugar (about 100 grams)

    Pie Crust Method: In a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Add the butter (cut into small pieces) and use your hands to crumble the butter into the flour until it forms a grainy texture.

    Gradually add water, forming a dough (you may not need all the water; if the dough is too dry, add a little water; if too wet, add some flour). Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.

    Slice the apples thinly, then mix with the remaining filling ingredients.

    Divide the dough into two portions and roll out into thin sheets (about 1/8 inch thick). Place one sheet into an 8-inch pie pan.
