Steps
- 1
Put mince in a bowl. Soak bread in a little bit of milk, enough for the bread to absorb. Then break up the bread and add to the mince
- 2
Add the egg, salt and pepper and mix well with a fork. Roll out a piece of parchment paper and add mince on top. Shape into a rectangle with your hands
- 3
Add the cheese on top and then using the paper, roll up like a sausage. Transfer to cling film. Wrap up tight and rest in fridge for an hour
- 4
Preheat oven to 180. Place in a roasting tray and pop in the oven for about 45 mins. To make the sauce, heat oil and garlic in a pan. Remove garlic then add the passata. Cook for a few minutes until it bubbles, add a little salt. When meatloaf cooked, rest on a wire rack. Serve your meatloaf with the sauce and veg of your choice. I used mash 😊
