Banana dates Halwa

Hello friends,
Today I am going to share a dessert recipe- BANANA DATES HALWA. This can be made with any variety of banana. For this recipe, add less jaggery if your dates are sweeter. This aromatic & soft textured Halwa can be done within a short time. Banana is a healthy carbohydrate which should be incorporated in our daily diet.

Cooking Instructions

Soak the dates in hot water for 10 minutes. Peel the bananas and puree it in a blender along with dates.

In a heavy bottomed vessel, heat banana & dates paste with jaggery.

Once it turns glossy, start adding ghee one tbsp at a time.

Let the mixture thicken. First it starts to leave sides.

As you keep cooking and add ghee, at one stage, you will see whitish frothy here and there while you stir from bottom.

Add cardamom powder, chopped cashew nuts and mix.

At one stage at many places in the mixture starts turning pale, slightly frothy.

Pour to a greased plate. Serve hot/cold
