Salsa, a well known one, is a variety of sauces used at the table as condiment or accompaniment to tacos, tortilla chips and many other Mexican food as well as Mexican- American foods as dips. They may be raw or cooked and are generally served at room temperatures. Here this variety is a cooked one that iam sharing. It's a perfect dip for even many an Indian food too. My family loves it with Potato Chips, Aaloo Parathas, Bread Omelette etc. It's actually relished as a Salad too by my children. The process is very easy too and does not contain any difficult steps. You are going to love this simple yet elegant looking Salsa. Happy Cooking Everyone!

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

Brush a teaspoon of Oil onto the Capsicum at first. Roast it on a low heat directly on the gas. Pierce it with a fork and hold over the heat and roast until done, evenly from all the sides.

  2. 2

After it cools down completely, immerse it in water. Remove the skin and deseed it. Chop it finely and set aside for later use. Add Jalapenos very finely chopped to the Vinegar and set aside for later use as well.

  3. 3

Heat the remaining oil in a pan. Saute Onions for 2-3 minutes. Then add the chopped Capsicum, Tomatoes, Sugar and Oregano. Add Salt to taste. Mix well. Also add Chillies in Vinegar that are finely chopped to it.

  4. 4

Adjust Salt accordingly. Serve it right away. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
