Maple Sugar on Toast

I ate a maple-flavored sugar toast and it was so good that I just had to try to make it myself! This is what I came up with.

Because of the maple sugar, if you toast it for too long, it will burn. So, please toast lightly. Recipe by Maron828

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1 sliceSliced bread
  2. 1Maple syrup (or maple-flavored syrup)
  3. 1Butter or margarine
  4. 2 tspSugar
  5. [Optional]
  6. 1 pinchSalt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Score the bread. Using a crisscrossed pattern is the best!

  2. 2

    Spread butter or margarine over the entire surface.

  3. 3

    Spread the maple syrup over the entire surface.

  4. 4

    It should look like this after you spread the maple syrup.

  5. 5

    Put the sugar on top, using a spoon or knife to spread it over the entire slice.

  6. 6

    Toast in a toaster oven. Enjoy. It took about 5 minutes in my toaster oven, but every apparatus is different, so please adjust accordingly.

    It's kind of a makeshift recipe, but it's really yummy!
