Microwaved Steamed Sweet Onion with Shiro-Dashi & Cheese

I had a lot of sweet onions. I wanted to eat something with a combination of my favorite cheese and some shiro-dashi, so I made this and it came out delicious.
You can enjoy many types of variations with this whole onion.
You can use mentsuyu or soy sauce, black pepper, or a sprinkle of consommé. The black pepper and delicious olive oil make this dish light. You can also top with bacon. Recipe by Yome chan to dede
Cooking Instructions

Cut a cross into the onion and place on a heat-resistant dish.

Pour the shiro-dashi over the onion. Lightly cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 3 minutes.

Next, top with some cheese. Remove the wrap and microwave for 30 seconds until the cheese is gooey. Then it's done.

You can optionally garnish with black pepper or green onion.
