Sugar-Dusted Crescent Cookies

These delicious Algerian cookies are traditionally prepared for Eid, symbolizing the crescent moon that marks the end of Ramadan.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and fats together and knead.
- 2
Add the water and orange blossom water, then gather the dough.
- 3
Cover and let rest for 3 hours. Afterward, form the entire dough into 40-gram balls, cover with plastic wrap, and prepare the filling with 3 parts almonds, 1 part sugar, and mix with orange blossom water.
- 4
Flatten a dough ball, form a log, then roll it out with a rolling pin and place the filling on top.
- 5
Roll it up and shape into a crescent.
- 6
Place them on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes. Once baked, let them cool, dip in a syrup (water, sugar, orange blossom water), drain, and dust with sugar. Enjoy!
