Polish Apple Strudel (Strudel jabłkowy) 波兰苹果馅饼

This is one of my favorite strudel from Poland. I learned how to make it when I was in Łódź. I still make it every autumn and all my friends love it. It’s simple to make and taste very good!

Polish Apple Strudel (Strudel jabłkowy) 波兰苹果馅饼

Peel apples, remove the core and seeds, and cut into small cubes, now it’s 1 kg. 切好苹果,移除心和籽,切成小方块,现在的净重是1kg。

Place the raisins in a bowl and pour on hot water to cover. Soak about 10 minutes. Drain the raisins and add to the apples with sugar, cinnamon, and bread crumbs. 准备葡萄干在碗里并浇上热水,泡十分钟。拧干葡萄干加到苹果里,并且放入糖,肉桂和面包屑。

Prepare the strudel. Roll the dough as thin as possible. It should have a rectangular shape. Brush with melted butter, leaving a small amount of fat for later. 准备陷。把面团揉到最薄,擀成长方形,并扫上融化的黄油,留一些油为后面做准备。

Put the filling on the center of the dough and spread leaving 2-3 cm free space on the edges. First carefully wrap the shorter edges of the dough to the center, then roll the dough along the long edge. You can just make one big strudel, but I separate dough to 6 pieces so it’s easier to pack for lunch.把陷倒入面团中央并在边缘留2-3厘米。首先先把短的面团边缘到包中间,然后沿着长的边缘卷起。

Place the strudel on the baking tray. Brush butter on it and put in the oven preheated to 200°c. Bake for about 30-40 minutes. After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar. 把馅饼放到托盘上,表面刷上黄油放在200°c的烤箱里烤30-40分钟。 考完冷却以后在表面撒上糖霜做装饰

I didn’t put the powdered sugar on the surface but I put vanilla sauce around it. Very yummy! 我没有用糖霜, 最后放了香草酱,真的是酸酸甜甜非常好吃。
