Put water, sugar and tea powder in a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

Crush a piece of ginger and add it to the boiling water for the tea. Add the lemon grass leaves to it as well.

Dry roast all the ingredients given in the tea masala section and grind it into a fine powder. Sieve the masala if need be and store it in a cool and dry place. Use and when required.
