Have you seen the series on bbc2 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0018ljt?I am finding it fascinating and thought it may be of interest to you. It’s about an Asian family with African ancestors who go back in time to run a shop and it takes them through the last 50 years and how times change.
