Steps
- 1
Chop up the jelly cubes before covering with water then placing in the microwave to cook for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. After that, fill with cold water to 1 pint ready for the fridge (or greater if you want it done quicker).
- 2
Make a plain cup cake about the size of your container (I used jam jars). Go to www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/340648/Basic-cupcake-recipe
- 3
Go to www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2554644/homemade-custard to make your custard
- 4
Whip some cream in a mixing bowl ready for the trifle
- 5
Cut the top of your cup cake then add to the top of the jelly
- 6
Tip on the custard then return to the fridge for another 5-10 minutes
- 7
Remove from the fridge then dollop on the cream. Ta-da you have a home made trifle!

Enjoy 👍

Top Tip: If you have it in a jar you can take it on picnic without it spilling over everything!!
