The story behind this recipe
My family loves bananas, so I tried various recipes and came up with my own. Since we use ripe bananas, the sugar is kept to a minimum. This banana cake has been loved in our home for over 10 years!

  2. 1/3 cupsugar (about 70 grams)
  3. 1/4 cupbutter or margarine (about 60 grams)
  4. 2eggs
  5. 1 1/4 cupsall-purpose flour (about 150 grams)
  6. 1 teaspoonbaking powder (about 5 grams)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Line a baking pan with parchment paper. For tips on how to neatly line the pan, refer to ID18192695 on cookpad.com.

  2. 2

Soften the butter in the microwave (300W for about 35-40 seconds) until it reaches the consistency of mayonnaise. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  3. 3

Add the sugar and mix well.

  4. 4

Add the eggs and mix further.

  5. 5

Mash the bananas with a fork to your desired consistency.

  6. 6

Add the mashed bananas and mix.

  7. 7

Add the sifted flour and baking powder, and gently mix until there are no dry spots.

  8. 8

Pour the batter into the pan and drop it from a slight height a few times to remove air bubbles.
