This cake is cute and easy to make. Just by adding a marble effect, it looks very fancy. It keeps well, so you can make it in large batches.

Ingredients

One small pound cake pan
  1. 3 1/2 tablespoonsbutter (about 50 grams)
  2. 1/4 cupsugar (about 50 grams)
  3. 1egg, beaten
  4. 1/3 cupall-purpose flour (about 50 grams)
  5. 1 tablespooncocoa powder (about 5 grams)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C).

[Note] Sorry, I forgot to mention earlier, but please preheat the oven!

  2. 2

Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl until it becomes pale. The photo uses brown sugar.

  3. 3

Add the egg gradually, mixing well each time.

  4. 4

Add the flour and mix until glossy, then take 60 grams into another bowl.

  5. 5

Sift in the cocoa powder and mix, being careful not to overmix.

  6. 6

Return the cocoa batter to the original bowl and lightly mix to create a marble effect.
Pour into a mold and bake in the oven at 340°F (170°C) for 30-35 minutes.

  7. 7

Mixing less will result in a prettier marble effect.

  8. 8

It keeps well, so wrapping it nicely as a gift will be appreciated!

  9. 9

The left is 17cm and the right is 13cm. This time, I used the 13cm one. If using the 17cm, make 2-3 times the amount.

  10. 10

It's small, so you can make a lot for gifts♪
For matcha marble, replace the cocoa powder with 3 grams of matcha!

  11. 11

On February 5th, it became a hot topic (^^)
    Thank you (;∀;)

  12. 12

You can also enjoy it with toppings like almond slices or diced nuts.

  13. 13

    Comment on shelf life!
Since it's homemade, it may vary with hygiene conditions, but it should last 3 days at room temperature. If refrigerated, 4 days.
