Heat the pan dry roast the poppy seeds and kaju

Remove it and keep aside

Now heat oil and add onion and garlic saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

Add tomato and ginger saute well

Remove from the pan,cool it and make a paste of it adding roasted kaju and poppy seeds

Add oil in the pan and temper cumin seed bay leaf and green chillies

As it crackle add the pointed gourd,(peeled)

Saute for a while add salt and turmeric powder and cover till it becomes tender

Now add the paste and mix well

Add red chilli powder and mix well

As the gourd get soft and moist add sugar and garam masala powder and mix

Serve it with rice or chapati
