Grape cucumber mimosa

This is such an old fashion/traditional Greek Dessert, when I was little I would always laugh when they handed me this dessert. (Oh!! I wasn’t alone on this journey I had my side kick my cousin. hahahahaha really cool human being. Love her!!!) So, where was I, oh yes, my mother would always give me that greek one eye slanted face, that usually meant stop it!!! because I was being rude. But my side kick would continue to laugh after I would get that face!! she wasn’t much help. My brother on the other hand who is younger, would always take this little dessert and eat it even though he didn’t like it, just so he would not get that greek slanted eye face. hahahahhahaComing from the states from Pepperidge farm cookies, Oreos, Oatmeal cookies and so much more to this!!! Every year from the age of 10, we used to go on vacation to Greece for the summer and every house, I mean literally every house either in the village or in the city we went to had this Dessert. Now, that I am all grown up, of course I see this with a completely different attitude, and I do enjoy making it. 🙂It is so easy to make, the ingredients basically are Water, Sugar, Grapes. All it needs is a overnight stay in the fridge and a boil the next morning and your done. 🙂

My mother always had these in the fridge. They've become sort of a comfort food for me :)

A refreshing drink for all seasons

Just some things I had in the fridge. Wanted to juice them before they all went bad. Decided to blend everything at once.

I literally made this today and it was so damn delicious and very, very filling that I just had to share it !

I was given a lot of Kyoho grapes that I couldn't finish eating, so I wanted to make something to use them up before they went bad.It's essentially the same as making peach compote.If you boil the grapes too long they will fall apart, so be careful.Boiling for a short time leaves a nice and delicious texture. I have concord and catawba grapes in my backyard and find this far easier than trying to make wine. The key is to pick 'em before the wildlife gets 'em...lol

I love fruit but it spoils so quick so i started freezing it. Any thing from bananas to pineapple,grapes,kiwi. Im always ready for a good lowfat smoothy.

I love this refreshing martini! If you have trouble finding cucumber vodka, use plain vodka and soak cucumbers in water overnight and use the cucumber water to replace the Sprite Zero.

Something I came up with when we decided to have friends over for cocktails last minute and I had to make some noshes with whatever I had in the fridge.These are so easy to make and super tasty, too! :)I didn't give exact quantities because it's pretty easy to imagine how much of what ingredient you're going to need for the number of pieces you're going to make.

I had lots of kyoho grapes, so I made grape jello using kyoho grapes!I like the texture of jello using agar, so I always use it.The agar won't harden unless you bring it to a boil, so make sure to boil it. If it doesn't solidify, then transfer it back into a pot, and boil again. Gelatin does not solidify well if boiled, so check out this recipe if using gelatin! For 10 servings. Recipe by Hamumaki
