Prepare all your ingredients and wash the tomatoes, onions and lemon

Cut the tomatoes and onions in separate bowls in large rings

Put some salt in the onions and squeeze the onions with the salt till soft. This removes the harsh onion taste

Wash the squeezed onions and drain all water
- 5
Now mix the onions into the tomato bowl, add salt to your taste and amount of lemon juice you like depending on how sour you like it. You can also add chilli for the chilli lovers. There you have your kachumbari. Serve and enjoy with a meal of your choice
