I have bought small baked tortilla bowls from local markets, but you can make gorgeous crunchy huge bowl with different methods at home.

It’s crazy easy, fun and enjoyable to make your home made bread bowls. You may either use deep fried method or baking in the oven and create huge bowls.
You can use large bowls for making huge bread bowls or use muffin tin and make smaller size bowls.

I will demonstrate different methods for making tortilla bread bowl.

Ingredients

  1. Lavash or Tortilla bread

  3. Bowl

    Preheat the oven to 200C degree.
    Take a bowl and put it upside down. Cover the bowl with a piece of foil.

    Pop the bread in the microwave for 10 seconds until it is soft and flexible. Or if you have not access to the microwave, simply place the bread in a pan and heat per side for few seconds.Once it comes up, use cooking spray and spray on both sides of the bread. Or Brush both sides of the bread.

    Place the bread on the bowl and gently press the bread. Fold and crimp the edges of the bread with your fingers. (as you see in the photos).

    Pop the bowl in the oven and cook it for 7-8 minutes and sometimes 10 minutes (ovens are different) and once it is golden brown and crispy. it’s done.

    For making small bread bowls, Turn muffin tin upside down and grease the muffin tin. Use veggie oil and brush both sides of the bread. Put the bread on top of one cup, squeeze round and crimp edges.

    Another method is: Brush oil per side of the bread. Place the bread between 4 muffin cups as you see in the photo. Squeeze down into the spaces.
