Bean Stew with buttered cabbage

This meal(yellow beans) i well knew it from my classmate since she loved talking about yellow beans. And at all times I used to tease her when she was going home. ‘super ni yellow beans?'

This is a traditional South African dish that has so many good memories for me. My mom used to make this dish for my family when I was little. This recipe is from the local cookbook 'Kook Saam Kaaps'.

My mother was visiting me so I asked her to show me how to cook this meal I used to enjoy it when I was a kid

Fish in a lot of tomatoes. 😍. It Doesn’t get better than this. I blended fresh tomatoes but you can use 2 cans if you have.

Earthy taste yet yummy, you can’t get enough of it especially in winter time.

This receipe was inspired by my childhood. I remember my mom used to cook cabbage with tomatoes and other days it will be with potatoes. Served with pap.

Made chakalaka daily when I had my own food business, it was a hit. Wanted to share this recipe with you especially since the festive is fast approaching, can’t have a braai with chakalaka.

This is my take of this stew I taste it once I was at the wedding and it was delicious and then I wanted to ask the chef she was so busy but due to that I'm good with taste I did this stew my way.

I enjoyed this stew when I was visiting my aunt in Joburg, so yesterday I check my Frigde I had all of her ingredients, so I gave her a call to guide me on my green stew. Mine too was delicious just like hers.

I like to cook this up in the morning if I have time, and then heating it up to serve for supper. I find that the flavour is better when it's stood for a while.

#winter warmer contest. When I don't have marinate I use what I have in my kitchen so the beer will substitute as it is also a great marinate.

İ bought the cans of beans ages ago and kept postponing. So we did a salad challenge and I remembered I had them and thought well, might as well use them.
