Mamma Lucy's Flour Tortillas

Incredibly soft salty wraps Mamma Lucy used for her steak and potato tacos. I never got the recipe for the filling, but these shells taste great with other fillings. Obviously serving size depends on the person and what you fill them with
Note on the cooking time: It varies with skill. She used to turn a batch out in 15-20 minutes. Takes me about an hour.

Add the lard in small pieces. Smoosh into the dry ingredients with your fingers.

Add the hot water. Knead until smooth.

Divide into 16 balls. Roll out into 6 to 8 inch rounds? (I've never measured.)

Cook on a very hot griddle. One minute each side
