Uttapam is a very popular choice for breakfast in south India. It contains the goodness of different vegetables & on top of that, this particular recipe consists oats instead of rice. Therefore, more fiber & nutrition have been added to this recipe in compare to the original one. Some chutney & raita will complement this uttapam so well & nobody will complain about anything for sure

Grind the oats into a fine powder

Mix the semolina with the oats powder

Now add the baking soda into the oats mixture & mix everything nicely

Now add the ginger paste & the curd into the oats mixture and give everything a good mix

Now pour some water little at a time into the oats mixture & mix everything very well until a smooth batter is formed. The consistency of the batter should be like dosa batter

Now mix all the chopped vegetables into a bowl

Lastly mix the salt into the batter

Heat a tawa & spread a tiny amount of oil onto the tawa

Pour a ladle full of batter onto the tawa & wait for some bubble to arrive on the top surface

Then add some vegetable mixture on top & spread the vegetable layer a little bit towards the edges of the uttapam

Now cover the pan & let it sit on medium flame for few minutes

Then drizzle some oil from top & flip the uttapam

Again cover the pan & let it sit on medium flame until the other side is also thoroughly cooked

When they are done serve them hot with any chutney & raita of your choice
