Steps
- 1
Wash and prepare your vegetables. Lightly fry the onion, add spices. I use a different variety everytime. Today I used curry powder, black pepper, cumin seeds and thyme.
- 2
Add the pumpkin, courgette and hoho. I also added a stock cube since I didn't have any chicken or beef stock.
- 3
Add water and let it simmer till the pumpkin is tender
- 4
Put the mixture into a blender. You can add some butter or cream or even use them both to enrich the soup. *note, you can only use a blender that has such a lid to let the steam out.. If you don't have that type, just wait for it to cool down, blend and pop it back into the cooking pot and heat.

This is also a great way of giving your kids vegetables(use different variations from broccoli, spinach etc). If you like some heat, add some pilipili as you blend after putting some aside for the kids. This recipe made enough for 2 and a half. Enjoy😋😋
