This is my mother in law's recipe and my son loves these tikkis. These tikkis are easy peasy and quick to make. I often pack them in the school lunch box or make them as a tea-time snack. If you want, you can also add some cheese to the mixture and these are a heat with children and adults alike!

Pressure cook the potatoes, cool and peel them.

Mash them well with the help of a mash

Add salt to taste, the cornflour and mix well. Knead the mixture well, make sure to avoid any lumps.

Grease your palms with a little oil and shape small tikkis from the potato mixture.

Heat oil in a nonstick pan and add 4-5 tikkis and shallow fry.

Flip and fry from both sides until golden brown and crisp.

Drain on a tissue paper. Serve hot with ketchup / green chutney or pack in a tiffin.
