Ingredients

45 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2medium onions sliced
  2. 1sweet pointed pepper
  3. 350 gpeeled & cooked king prawns
  4. Handfull of fresh coriander
  5. 1 teaspoonsalt OR to taste
  6. 2 teaspoonTURMERIC /haldi powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoonchilli powder OR to taste
  8. Optional green chillies
  9. Optional chilli flakes
  10. 2large plates of cooked rice
  11. 1/2 cupcooking oil
  12. Spring onion for garnish
  13. Preparation
  14. Defrost the king prawns and drain
  15. Slice2 onions & slice the sweet pointed peppers
  16. You can substitute sweet pointed peppers for bell peppers
  17. The peppers will be used in stages
  18. You'll need 2 plates of hot cooked rice to add to the biryani
  19. Chop a hand full of coriander
  20. Slicethe optional green chillies

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat the oil in a large pan/pot & add the sliced onions and only half the amount of sliced peppers. Cook on high heat stirring until the colour starts to change, add more oil if required.

    Add 2 teaspoon of TURMERIC /haldi powder and 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder OR to taste depending on the amount of chilli hotness you prefer. Stir on high flame for around 3 minutes. Turn flame to low and cook for around another 5/10 minutes.

    Add optional chilli flakes, add the drained king prawns and the salt. Turn flame to medium & stir the contents. Cook until the king prawns release the excess water, turn flame to low if required, should take around 10/15 minutes.

    Add optional green chillies and the remaining sliced peppers (keep a few for optional garnish). Stir and cook on low for around 5 minutes.

    Add the the fresh chopped coriander. Add the cooked hot rice in small amounts & carefully stir it in.

    Garnish with spring onions and peppers. Enjoy 👌
