Ingredients

  1. 200 gramssesame seeds
  2. 300 gramspeeled and ground peanuts
  3. 125 gramspowdered sugar
  4. 1 tablespoonflour
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  6. 2eggs
  7. Grated lemon zest
  8. 1 tablespoonorange blossom water
  9. 1 tablespoonjam (any available type)
  10. 3 tablespoonssesame seeds for garnish
  11. Optional: Half a walnut on top of each piece for garnish

Steps

  1. 1

    First, toast the sesame seeds for about 7 minutes or until they turn golden brown, then place them in a dish to cool.

    Once the sesame seeds have cooled, grind them.

    Mix the flour with the baking powder, ground sesame seeds, ground peanuts, sugar, eggs, and orange blossom water.

    Shape the mixture into walnut-sized balls and roll them in sesame seeds.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes, keeping an eye on them.

    Let them cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
