Njahi (Turtle beans)

Also known as njahi, they have a acquired earthy taste and a meaty texture. These are a popular dish where I am married in the central part of Kenya. Very filling due to high fibre content and truly nutritious. When we make it, we eat it alone. #stayathome

Fun fact: The darker the beans skin, the stronger its flavor, and the more digestible its proteins. Beans are good for beautiful skin because they have niacin and pantothenic acid
