Grind the soaked chana daal with little water, then add one tablespoon lemon juice and salt. Make any shape. Boil the water. Keep the gas at sim and now add the daal paste according to your desired shape.

Boil it for 5 min then flip it. again boil it for 5 mins. After 5 min remove from water, cut into desired pieces and then do the shallow fry.

Chop the onion and tomatoes into pieces. Take a kadhai and let the oil heat. Add panchphoran and add the onion. Let the onion be brown then put the tomato and all the spices and saute it till it is cooked.

When masala is cooked then add remains of water in which daal paste was boiled till hard. This makes gravy thick and tasty.

After adding boiled water and When it comes to boil then put all the pieces of gatta. Let it boil then switch off the flame. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
