Fry the sausage and drain the fat.

The green bell pepper and onions can boil in the sauce. You can add the black olives (ones that you can stab with a fork) too. The juice in the can of olives could be a great ingredient to add to the sauce (probably depends on the brand).

Fry the mushrooms separately in olive oil. Add the cherry tomatoes. Adding some water and covering the skillet helps the cooking process. Keep separate from sauce until served with pasta.
