Ingredients

15 pieces
  • 200 grams/ 1cup peeled & grated doodhi/lauki
  • 2 tablespoonsthick curds
  • 1 1/2 cupwheat flour
  • 1/2 cupbesan
  • 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1/2 cuproughly chopped dhaniya
  • 1 table spoongreen chilli, ginger, garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoonsoil
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the dry ingredients, adjust the seasoning.

  2. 2

    Add the wet ingredients: curds, doodhi.

  3. 3

    Mix well. Add water only if the dough is not soft enough. Let to dough rest for 10 minutes. Not more. Knead the dough once again, apply a little oil on your palms if needed. Make equal size balls. Roll the dough as for roti, not too thick, neither too thin.

  4. 4

    Cook on the tawa on medium flame. Flip when bubbles appear on the thepla & drizzle some oil on the sides. Then increase the flame & quickly cook the thepla on both sides.
