Potato 65 is an amazingly tasty recipe. Mostly served as a starter or snack but can be served as a side dish in lunch or dinners. It's tasty lip smacking when they are hot and crunchy. It seems a good option for vegetarian version of popular Chicken 65. Try this simple yet delicious Aalo 65. It's my sons one of favorite.

It seems a good option for vegetarian version of popular Chicken 65. Try this simple yet delicious Aalo 65. It's my sons one of favorite.

Cut potatoes in cubes and parboil in water with salt (dont over boil them)when 1/2 done take out and cool completely.

Make a batter with maida, cornflour, salt, haldi, red chilli powder and lemon juice add water and make semi thick batter so that potatoes nicely coat in them. I dont add food colour if you want than add red food colour a pinch.

Put the cooled aalo in batter and leave for 10_15mins

Heat oil in wok and deep fry potatoes in batches till crispy.

Take them out on strainer

Make sauce or gravy, take 2 tbsp oil and add curry pattay than chopped garlic and green chillies

Fry for few sec but dont brown it

Add salt, chilli garlic sauce and ketchup, red chilli powder, haldi, black pepper.

Add water and cook, add lemon juice.

Add fried potatoes and toss them well till well coated and dry.

Add green coriander.

Tasty potato 65is ready to be served

I served with boiled rice.
