This was my first experiment with cookies and I made them for my fiancé

Infuse the butter with your herbs by adding the butter, the herbs and 1/2 cup of water to a pot and simmer until the water has completely evaporated

Strain the butter into a bowl and let it cool to room temperature. Throw out the used herb

Preheat the oven to 170°C
- 4
Mix the flour, baking soda and baking powder in a different bowl
- 5
After the now aromatic butter has cooled, add the sugar and mix well.

Add the peanut butter and mix until combined

Add the egg and vanilla essence and mix until just combined
- 8
Add the flour and mix just until the flour disappears

Use a tbsp to scoop out your preferred size of cookies and place on a lined baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until the edges just begin to brown

Remove and let the cookies cool slightly on on the sheet before transferring to a rack

Serve warm with a glass of milk!
