Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 cupmoong dal chilkewali
  • 1 tbspsesame oil
  • 6-7garlic cloves
  • 4-5green chillies (spicy ones)
  • 1big pc ginger
  • 1 tspturmeric
  • 3 tspred chilly powder
  • 1 tbspKashmiri red chilly powder
  • 2 tspdhaniya jeera powder
  • 1 tspcoriander leaves
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tspjeera
  • 1/2 tsphing

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak the moong dal chilkewali for 1/2 hr. Pressure cook till 3 whistles.

  2. 2

    Heat oil, season it jeera, ginger, garlic and green chillies coarsely made paste. Add spices. Add salt.

  3. 3

    Add the moong dal chilkewali. Add water as reqd. Allow it to boil.

  4. 4

    Remove in serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve it as you like. I have served in a desi way with onions, chilly and lime.
