Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmaida / all-purpose flour
  2. 1 spoonCorn flour
  3. 1 teaspoonFood colour
  4. 2 cupCurd
  5. 5 spoonSugar
  6. 1/2 tspElaichi (Cardamom) powder
  7. 2 tspLime juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Sieve all the maida cornflour and baking soda.

  2. 2

    Now add curd colour and mix well

  3. 3

    Now add water accordindly and make a batter

  4. 4

    It should be in flowing consistency.

  5. 5

    Same as you make idli batter or vada pav batter.
    Let it rest for 6_7 hrs.

    Now heat oil in a kadhai.
    Put the mixture in a bottle which can be pressed easily.

    Once your oil it heated nicely simmer the flame and pour the mixture spirally giving shape directly in the kadhai.
    Deep fry.

    Remove and put them on a paper napkin to remove the extra oil

  9. 9

    For syrup - Mix all the ingredients and keep for boiling till it forms a string syrup.
    Now dip the jalebis in syrup 2_3 at a tym turn the sides so that it gets soaked nicely both the sides.

    Leave it for 2mins and then remove.

  11. 11

    Repeat the process for other jalebis.

  12. 12

    It can be served hot or cold.

  13. 13

    One can even servev with rabdi as a dessert.
