Amla candy
Steps
- 1
Boil water in a pan and switch off the pan. insert amlas in it and close the lid. I have not boiled amlas so as not to reduce its nutrients.
- 2
Strain the amlas in a strainer and when they become cold, remove the kernels.
- 3
Place the amla pieces in another vessel and pour sugar.
- 4
Next day you will find that the sugar has turned into a syrup and Amla pieces are floating in this sugar. Stir the syrup and cover it for another 2-3 days.
- 5
When the amla pieces starts to sink at bottom,it indicates that amla pieces have soaked the sugar.
- 6
Sieve these pieces and let them dry in sunlight.
- 7
It will take 4 to 5 days and Amla candy will be ready.
