Generously spray a 9x12x2 pan with Pam. Line it with parchment paper & butter it

In a large saucepan mix 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup dark corn syrup, 1 cup heavy cream. Heat until mixture begins to boil. Slowly stream in the remaining 1 cup of heavy cream into the mixture storing while boiling.

Attach a candy thermometer to the pan and cook over medium heat until 244°.

Remove pan from heat and add 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick), 2 cups chopped pecans, and 1 tsp vanilla. Stir well.

Pour into pan and cool in the refrigerator until firm but not hard. About an hour.

Cut candy into 1” squares. Cut wax paper into 4” squares and wrap them individually. Store in the refrigerator. Allow to soften a little before serving.
