Chop the onions and quarter the 2 tomatoes.

Heat oil in a pan/ kadai.

Add the chopped onions and fry on medium heat for 5-6 mins. Now add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for 2 mins on low heat.

Now add the chicken pieces, mix well and fry it on medium heat for 5-6 mins till the chicken is browned well.

Add the salt and tartaric powder and mix it well.

Now add the red chili, Tomato paste, mix well and fry for 5-6 mins on medium heat till oil separates. Add the garam masala powder, mix and cook for 1 min.

Now add 200 ml water,mix and cover & cook for 20 mins.

Serve with chpati and rice.
