Rinse the lentils thoroughly and drain.

Sauté the onion, then add the diced potato and carrot.

Add the potato, carrot, and lentils to the onion. Stir together, then pour in water to cover. Cook for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, transfer the soup to a blender and blend until smooth. Return it to the pot, add the spices, bouillon cube, black lime powder, cumin, and a squeeze of lemon. Stir well and cook for another 15 minutes. Taste and adjust salt as needed. Enjoy!
