Steps
- 1
Take a pan. Heat oil. Add grated garlic and saute it lightly.
- 2
To it, add water, salt and chilli flakes. Mix everything. Bring the water to a boil.
- 3
In boiling water, add semolina. Mix well and roast for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 4
Add steamed and mashed potatoes. Mix well together and roast lightly for 2 minutes more. Off the flame and allow it to cool a bit. The mixture should be lukewarm.
- 5
Transfer it to a bowl. Grease hand with oil. Mash the mix to make a smooth dough. To this add grated cheese, chopped coriander leaves, mixed herbs and cornflour. You can use maida in place of cornflour.
- 6
Combine all the ingredients well to make a smooth dough. Dust the rolling board with cornflour or maida. Roll the dough on it and divide into 6 portions.
- 7
Now take one portion and make a cylindrically shaped long stick out of it. The stick should not be too thick or too thin. Coat the cutter with cornflour or maida. Cut the bites in preferable sizes. Take each piece and give it a proper shape by lightly pressing from all sides. Prepare bites with the remaining dough.
- 8
Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame. Carefully put the bites in hot oil one by one. Fry few at a time. Do not overcrowd the pan. The bites starts puffing up a bit. Deep fry until light golden and crisp.
- 9
Remove from oil and place on paper towel to drain off the excess oil.
- 10
Fry all the remaining bites.
- 11
Crispy and Delicious Suji Potato Cheesy Bites are ready. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or red chilli sauce or any sauce of your choice. Enjoy it with a hot cup of tea or coffee.
