Pour oil/melted butter into a bowl and add your sugar. Break in both eggs and mix very well.
-In another bowl,sieve flour,cocoa powder and baking soda together. Add salt too
-Turn buttermilk into a bowl,add red colouring,then mix properly. Also,add the 1 tsp of lemon and 1tbsp of vinegar to preserve the red colour.
-To the oil/butter mixture,add buttermilk and colour mixture and dry ingredients alternatively and mix until used up.
-Pour batter into a lined or greased pan and bake.
